Agentic OS metering: Agentic Compute Units (hive_acu).

Explore Agentic OS

Multi-step agent runs combine model reasoning with sandbox code execution, document OCR, web search, and external connectors. Agentic OS normalizes these primitives into a single unit (`hive_acu`) while direct Grid API calls continue to bill per 1M input/output tokens.

Agentic OS (Forward HIVE) Agent Compute Unit (hive_acu) conversion primitives and reference rates
Primitive / operationMetered unitACU per metered unitNotes
hive.agent.task.basicper taskSingle-turn or lightweight classification, routing, and structured formatting task.
hive.agent.task.standardper taskStandard multi-step agent execution with retrieval, tool calls, and verification.
hive.agent.task.complexper taskDeep research, long-document synthesis, or multi-hop reasoning across large context.
hive.agent.task.Workflowper workflowEnd-to-end orchestrated multi-stage workflow with checkpointing and terminal audit.
hive.tool.executionper callAuthenticated connector call, MCP tool invocation, or structured external API action.
hive.sandbox.executionper secondIsolated code interpreter or document-processing sandbox compute time.
hive.browser.sessionper minuteManaged headless browser automation session with DOM snapshot and action controls.
hive.Compute.cpu_hourper CPU hourDedicated background worker compute for long-running data or indexing jobs.
hive.storage.gb_monthper GB-monthEncrypted tenant vault storage, indexed document chunks, and persisted run artifacts.
hive.trigger.webhookper eventInbound webhook trigger that validates payload signatures and dispatches a durable run.
hive.trigger.scheduleper firingScheduled cron or recurring automation run on an isolated `thrd_autorun_*` thread.
hive.subagent.spawnper sub-agentSpawning an isolated specialist sub-agent with its own scoped context and tool policy.
hive.subagent.messageper messageStructured inter-agent handoff or verification message between parent and sub-agent.

Worked example, subject to your metering schedule.

If your agreement meters these separately, one standard task (0.50 ACU), two tool calls (2 × 0.10 ACU) and ten sandbox seconds (10 × 0.05 ACU) total 1.20 ACU. This is illustrative arithmetic, not a customer invoice or a USD quote. Included operations are not added a second time.

Your agreement confirms the monetary ACU rate, effective date, included model inference, external-tool charges, retained resources, paused runs, retries, overages and limits. Inference included in an ACU package must not also receive a token charge. Direct Grid calls retain their separate effective terms.

Monthly estimates count the full input, cached-input and output mix. A lower estimate does not establish quality or availability. Batch uses 50% of these rates when enabled. Cached input replaces the uncached-input charge on those tokens. A 50% input rate is used when no model-specific cached reference exists. Taxes, routing and scoped services are additional where applicable.

Price the text you need to check.

Scope AI-text detection, prompt injection and jailbreak checks around submitted text volume, lengths and concurrency. Detection returns signals; its usage and costs are scoped separately from generated output tokens.

A quote tied to the serving scope

The proposal confirms the model version, chargeable unit, text limits, throughput, region and support. It also states how long documents, repeated checks, incomplete scans and private capacity are charged.

Evaluation by request. There is no published detection rate card or assumed Batch discount. Deployment and effective rates are confirmed before access.

Where the price references come from

Paid endpoint references, compared at a 3:1 input-to-output mix. Your workload and serving configuration determine the comparison; effective rates are confirmed before use.

View methodology, model sources and serving references

We select a complete input and output rate pair from the lowest-cost active paid OpenRouter endpoint at a reference mix of three input tokens to one output token. We use standard list rates, excluding free endpoints and temporary discounts. We compare at the stated reference precision where specified. Grid serving precision and eligibility are confirmed for your deployment. A different token mix, precision or deployment can change the comparison.

We retain the endpoint's cached-input rate when published. Otherwise the Grid reference uses 50% of input. LIVIA S1 Flash retains its own Grid rate; other S Series generations receive their agreed rates. Nemotron Nano Omni and Nano 4B have no comparable paid listing in this review and receive scoped quotes. Context and feature limits are confirmed for your deployment.

Scope your total cost

Effective rates

These are indicative new-account references in USD. Your agreement records the model, serving configuration, effective rate and date, billing currency and validity. Existing agreements retain their agreed rates. Tax and currency treatment are confirmed in writing.

Regions and availability

Grid access is by invitation. The authenticated model list determines what your account can call. Dedicated and Private proposals confirm the deployment region, residency and delivery window.

Minimums and inclusions

Capacity and project proposals state minimum quantities and terms, setup fees, resources and support. Storage, networking, egress, licences and excess usage are itemised where applicable.

One service, one charge

Input, cached input and output are separate token meters. A capacity quote explains whether model consumption is included or additional. Routing, training and other scoped services have their own agreed rates.
